Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is your pet policy?

At our community, we understand that pets are part of your family, and we welcome them with open arms! We allow up to two pets per apartment home, ensuring that you can bring your furry friends with you. Our pet policies include a $250 pet deposit, a $150 non-refundable pet fee, and a monthly pet rent of $42 per pet. We also have a 75-pound weight limit, but we don’t have any breed restrictions. We’re excited for you and your pets to call our community home!

Q. Can I have shelves, curtains, posters, etc.?

Great news! You have free reign to personalize your space with shelves, curtains, posters, and anything else to make your new home feel cozy and inviting! However, remember that any holes you make that are 1/2 inch or larger must be repaired before you move out. So, feel free to let your creativity shine and be mindful of the end result. Cheers to making your new space truly your own!

Q. Can I paint my walls?

If you’re wondering whether or not you can paint your walls, the answer is a resounding yes! However, prime them back at moveout to avoid any issues. Painting your walls can be a fun and creative way to liven up your home. Whether you’re going for a bold statement or a subtle accent, a fresh coat of paint can transform a room and make it feel like your own. Don’t be afraid to get creative and let your personality shine through!

Q. What does the application and leasing process look like?

Finding a new apartment can be an exciting but stressful experience. That’s why we want to make the application and leasing process as smooth as possible for you! Our rental application can be completed online via our online portal. There is a $55 application fee (unfortunately, non-refundable) and a $100 reservation fee due at the same time of application (don’t worry, the reservation fee is refundable if you cancel within 24 hours). It’s also important to note that anyone over the age of 18 is required to fill out an application. We assign apartments on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure to send in your application as soon as possible! Our vacant apartments can be held for up to 14 days, after which they will become available to other applicants. We’re excited to help you find your new place to call home with us!

Q. Do you require renter’s insurance?

Yes. Renter’s insurance can provide valuable protection for your belongings and liability coverage if someone gets injured while visiting your home. If you want peace of mind and protection for your belongings, consider adding renter’s insurance with a $100,000 liability to your monthly expenses.

Welcome to your new home! You may be wondering when and how I should set up my utilities. Lucky for you, it’s a simple process. Just call Duke Energy at least 72 hours before your lease start date to have your electric services turned on. Although they can’t guarantee same-day service requests, they’ll do their best to get you up and running as soon as possible. However, you don’t need to worry about water utilities – they’ll be set up for you automatically through AUM upon move-in. Let us help make your transition to your new place as smooth and hassle-free as possible.
